A versatile and skilled actress hailing from Miami, Florida, Sheria Irving has an immense passion for telling the stories of the human condition. An ardent lover of life and its Giver, she is propelled by her desire and curiosity to explore and reflect humanity. Also a determined educator, she is committed to inspiring, elevating and empowering todays youth.
A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, she has worked on both Broadway and Off-Broadway stages. Whether it be collaborating on new plays or working in Television and Film, she has undertaken roles ranging from the classical canon of Shakespeare and Euripides to the brazen and ingenious works of numerous up and coming playwrights and writers. She has been a special education teacher in the South Bronx, and holds a Masters in Education from Pace University. Since her tenure in the classroom, she has devoted a lot of time to mentoring young women eventually creating SHE - Shaping Her Earth; a nonprofit organization geared toward strengthening the leadership, power, and voices of girls from marginalized and underserved communities.
As both Actor and Educator, she has always been fascinated by the human ability to transform, adapt, evolve; first through the mentoring of youth and now working onstage and on set with her fellow actors.
